Elmārs Sīlis, the author of this collection of memories, was an excellent storyteller. In this book, Elmārs has written the testimony of his Christian life to his children, grandchildren and his contemporaries. Despite of what he suffered in Siberia, Elmārs, as a true Christian, ensured that the light of the gospel reached the Russian people as well.
